Some lives end unfinished, and some transcend time.

After a horrific incident, Swayze finds herself trapped between two lives. Patchy memories and fear for her own safety thrust her into a gut-wrenching journey to uncover the truth.

Will she let her dreams slip away to seek retribution and find the missing pieces to a puzzle that existed a lifetime ago?

“I’m not going to watch you self-destruct. I’m not going to watch you fall in love with another man.”

Or will she discover the only truth that matters?

Epoch pushes the boundaries of what we believe and what we know. It redefines fate and proves that the only thing separating the heart and the soul is an infinite timeline.

****Now Live**** If you haven't started this duet, I hands down totally recommend it 👍🏻

"E-P-O-C-H. It's a memorable event or period in time".

To write a review to put justice to what this book did to me, no chance.

To put words to how I feel, not possible.

To say how much I 100% adored these male characters in this book, each one of them, is impossible. Nate and Griffen were everything in this book. They loved with their whole hearts, and it was completely soul shattering at times. They were both so unique in their own ways, but loved so completely differently.

This book taught me to believe in Fate. Believe in whats meant to be. Have faith.

Not everything is meant to be perfect. Not everything is suppose to work out the way you think it is. And lastly, not everyone is who you think they are until you know their soul.

I was so beyond nervous for this book, I was worried about what the book would be, what would happen, who Swayze would chose or how or why. I cried, I cried a lot during this book, it gutted me, it crushed me, and my god did it heal me at the same time. So yes, I hated this book and I absolutely adored this book at the same time. It took a day of my life cause once I started it, I had to get to the end. So with not saying anymore because if you are reading this, you HAVE to go into this book blind, don't read spoilers and don't look ahead, just read and live it without spoiling it. True love finds happiness and its true home in the end of this story and I am finally able to breathe again.

I will forever remember this book. I may not believe in certain things but this author, this talented author, she totally got me with her writing. Beautifully done, Jewel E. Ann

Ugh you'll understand me if you read this duet and my goodness, I wish you good luck! I hope you can survive too... ❤

This. This is epoch. I hope I read Jewel E. Ann's books in every life.

It's weird how much I adore this duet considering how many complaints I have.

But the writing… Oh my God, the writing. It's so fucking good, so raw, so masterfully done.

And Griffin... I have something to tell you:

KITTY KATS CRAZY ABOUT BOOKS

EPOCH: is the second book in ‘Jewel E. Ann’s’ Transcend duet. It picks up where the first book left off with the murder of her friend and a connection to a cold case death which had us all reeling from the possibilities.

Epoch captures your mind, kidnaps your thoughts, manipulates and crushes your soul. And it literally steals your heart. A deeply, emotional, soul crushing book that had me reeling from start to finish, my heart was full..

Griffin is the man who leaves her weak in the knees, who she loves wholeheartedly, undeniably, her friend, her lover, her husband to be. But then she also has a connection with Nate that she can’t explain, connected to a past she can’t remember.

We yet again see Swayze being ripped apart by the two people in her life on such diverse levels, one from the past and one in the now, she’s trapped between two worlds that collide in the now on such an emotionally heartbreaking level which could have the potential to destroy her life she’s trying to create with Griff.

Nate swears that Swayze is his reincarnated friend Daisy who was murdered, maybe she is? Unexplainable memories keep surfacing without any explanation of the things she knows that she couldn’t possibly know. Around and around it goes, until in the process she loses sight of the bigger picture, she loses little pieces of herself.

Nothing I can say will do justice to this book, all I can say is that nothing compares to this duet, I went into this series open minded, not sure what to expect, I went in blind, nothing prepared me for everything I would encounter whilst reading this.
I went beyond swooning over ‘The grocery store guy’ because let's be honest he’s beyond #bookboyfriend material. He slayed me with his words.

Jewel E. Ann nailed it!! I inhaled it!!
All the feels that I wanted, needed, craved came at me full force, I enjoyed Book#1 but I loved this one!! An un-put-downable, un-for-gettable read!!

I need, want to, have to read more by this author because she's fast become one of my most favourite have to read authors!! Love her words!!

Fav book of April!! Two thumbs up by yours truly with a big tick of highly recommend..!!

*****ALL THE STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by Author}

He takes his leisurely time making sure his lips touch every inch of my flesh. I writhe beneath him, committing this feeling to the deepest parts of my soul. If I take something with me when I die, this time it’s going to be how incredibly revered I feel by this man.

INCREDIBLE!!! Every time I finish one of Jewel E. Ann’s books, I am in awe of this extremely talented author. She writes the kind of stories that end up owning a piece of my heart. This duet was nothing short of magical. There wasn’t anything that I didn’t love about this story, except for that it eventually had to end. If you’re looking for your next “five-star” read, drop whatever you’re currently reading and pick up this duet!!

Swayze finds herself in the middle of a murder mystery that happened nearly twenty-two years ago and now seems to have links to the untimely demise of her neighbor. She’s still only getting pieces of Daisy’s memories and she's convinced that the key to solving the mystery is to somehow find a way to unlock the memories from her past life. The problem is, her need to connect to her time as Daisy, is causing a huge rift between Swayze and Griffin. Griffin sees Swayze's need to remember her past life as a threat to their relationship because it has a possibility of opening the door for Nate.

Griffin and Nate were amazing Heroes. There was no way I could stop from loving them both but one always had more of my heart. They each had me swooning and at times in tears. It’s hard to categorize this as a true love triangle because usually in that scenario someone is the “bad guy” but it wasn’t the case with this story. My heart ached for the three of them. What I got out of this story was that true love can really transcend space and time! I can’t leave out the incredible Heroine, Swayze. Her heart was so pure and her vulnerability made her that much more endearing! She thought she was undeserving of the love she received from these incredible men but I believe the same could be said of her love for them.

Here are my overall ratings:

Heroes: 5
Heroine: 5
Plot: 5++++++
Angst: 5
Steam: 5
Chemistry Between Hero & Heroine: 5

5 Epoch = Epic Read! Stars

Two words ...
Spellbinding! Scintillating!

Three more words ...
Go! In! Blind!

Four more words ...
A! Mesmerizing! Must! Read!
(but first you must read “Transcend”)

Talk about ‘sitting on pins and needles.’ I was over the top invested and absorbed in the irresistible characters of Swayze, Nate and Griffin. I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt by the end of the book my emotional and mental state would be all over the map.

Yep! I called that one correctly. It has been many hours since I read the last page, and still, all I can think about is Swayze, Nate and Griffin.

It is also one of those back and forth, head snapping reads, like you’re watching the most intense tennis match. Just when I thought I had it all figured out ... ah nope, wrong again ... oops sorry, try again! So of course, I became even more invested, more enthralled! I could not get enough and it pained me if I had to put it down for any reason.

The storyline of this duet is positively unique and amazingly astounding! One I know I will never, ever forget.

Trust all the rave reviews and 5 star ratings. And just know, this is a story about true love, encompassing all it’s complexities and forms.

Bravo, Ms. Ann! Bravo!

“I think a part of you will be mine to love in every life.”

Who wouldn’t swoon over those words? Any of us would be blessed to be loved like that. However, this story made my heart bleed. I hurt and struggled and ached for almost 90% of this book. Why oh why oh why was this author torturing me so? My heart belonged to Griffin. He could do absolutely no wrong in my eyes. But he was only human and his compassion and understanding, although virtually limitless, weren’t endless.

“I said I would protect you. I promised to keep you safe. You were my world, even if I wasn’t yours.” - Griffin

Gah!! This is after suffering through the pain of Swayze’s confusion, her distance, and the emotional toll her journey was putting him through. And yet, he still loved her. All I wanted to do was punch this young lady in the face. Sometimes. I just wasn’t a fan of what she put Griffin through. Nate didn’t have it easy from her either. She was playing with people’s hearts and it made her an unsympathetic character in my eyes. However, she was the perfect piece of drama for this story. She was the angst, the turmoil, and the pain. So I think the way she was made worked well.

My heart still aches. I’m happy and yet I’m sad. When more than two characters are involved, chances are someone’s gonna get hurt, so I was expecting it. Doesn’t mean I have to love it. This author did an excellent job of keeping me entertained with this story and putting me through the wringer. Epoch was a bittersweet depiction of love everlasting.

Beautiful!! Sublime!

I have no words! What an amazing journey. This is one of the best duets I’ve ever read. Everyone needs to read it. It touched me deeply on so many levels. What a beautiful story about true, never-ending love.

The ending, specially the Epilogue was perfect. I am so happy with how things ended and I feel it was fitting to the story. I have no complaints whatsoever with this book, it was magnificent!

I won’t give anything away but just trust me and read this duet. Highly recommend it to everyone, not just romance readers.

"I don't need you to love me back... in this lifetime."

They got their happily ever after and I hated it. The way how it happened. This book started with lots of tension and tons of potential but author just ruined it for me in the way she brought closure to that one thing around which this whole story was woven.

I guess I was expecting too much after the first book and hence the disappointment.

These books most probably ruined me for all mediocre books. My pedestal for a 5-star book is now altered.

***********************************************

Epoch is the second book in the Transcend Duet.

My review for Book 1 is here in the following link and my overall opinions about the duet is in that review, including safety details and all.

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

***********************************************

If you have read Book 1 in this duet, you know that this duet deals with reincarnation and a love that transcends time and as a result, it is about the dilemma of a girl who is stuck between her epic love in another life and her epic love in this life.

***********************************************

Book 2 is a tough read!

There are many things I would like to change in Book 2. The characters frustrated the hell out of me most of the time.

The story didn't evolve the way I expected and wished. Swayze was too stubborn to delve into her past life and Griffin insisted that she left it in the past and forget about it.

They couldn't compromise. They hurt each other deeply. They acted recklessly and sometimes childishly.

In normal circumstances, I would never forgive what they did or I would never forgive them for what they didn't do; however, in this unique situation, I felt as if I had to forgive them for their mistakes as what they went through was utterly unconventional.

So it is safe to say that despite my disappointment in some parts of this second book, I was still so invested in their story that the book still managed to blow my mind away.

That's why, I am deducting only 0,5 point for the characters' flawed decisions in this book but still giving it 5 stars out of 4,5.

***********************************************

My criticisms:

In Book 1, I was #team Griffin, but in Book 2, I changed to #team Nate because I got really pissed at Griffin but adored how Nate acted.

If you look at the situation from each person's own point of view, from their own window, they all seem to be right to do what they did out of fear, pain, regret, guilt and confusion.

When I look at it from a general point of view, I'd rather Griffin were more understanding and supportive of Swayze's transition period. I know he was too scared to lose Swayze but still I cannot forgive some of the things he did. (or didn't do).

Also, I'd expect Swayze to be less interested with Nate and her past life especially when things got too messy with Griffin. I'd prefer if she were more devoted to her present and future with Griffin, trying to plan a life here and now rather than solve the mysteries of her past life. Her obsession about her past and Nate destroyed what she had with Griffin at present.

I really cannot find much fault in how Nate acted. He is the real hero of the whole story despite his minor mistakes!

Or maybe, one can criticize how Nate was more focused on his dead best friend and first lover Swayze than the death of his wife Jenna but when life brings someone you love from the dead, your focus is surely bound to change unexpectedly.

***********************************************

The book ends with a happy tone for all three characters.

And the Epilogue is just perfect. Stunning end to a phenomenal story! The epilogue really surprised me and I loved it very much.

Nate surely needed that epilogue - he had deserved it for so long!

***********************************************

Here are some QUOTES from Book 2 - Epoch.

NATE & SWAYZE

“We love many people for a lot of different reasons. I also think people pass in and out of our lives to give us an experience. … Some things last forever. What if our friendship lasts forever? What if the connection we have transcends time?”

***

I suck in one breath after another, each time hoping the right words will spill from my mouth, but every inhale dies in a wasted exhale of nothingness. Right now my feelings don’t have words, so I release him.

***

Griffin is the man I love. My friend. My lover. My future husband.
Yet, I can’t find the right way to explain the emotional connection I have to Nate and Morgan.
To a past I can’t fully remember.
To a present with its claws curled into my heart.
To a future more terrifying than my worst nightmares.
To an unknown that could ruin my existence as I know it.

GRIFFIN & SWAYZE

“I don’t know what to believe!” His knuckles blanch over the steering wheel.
“Then believe me . Trust me. Help me.”

There’s a reason I’ve always felt safe with Griffin. I just hope when I need his safety the most… he’s close enough to hear my cry for help.

***

“I want to marry you, you stupid grocery store guy.” I stand a few feet from the front of his truck. He stops at his door with his back to me. “But I don’t have to. It won’t change my love for you. So maybe you find a girl who isn’t so fucked-up in the head. I’ll still love you. Maybe you marry her and have three wonderful children. I’ll still love you. If you no longer want to marry me … I’ll still love you. I’ll still love your family. I’ll still love the memories of who we were and the dream of what could have been. And I’ll wish you nothing but utter bliss and the most beautiful happiness because …”

“When you ask me that question, I feel like the truth will pull us apart, but so will a lie. So …” I shrug. “It hurts—” Tears burn my eyes, but I don’t give them life. “The thought of losing you is unbearable.”

His gaze crawls along the table between us, making its way to meet mine. I see my whole world in his eyes, but when I close mine, I see many worlds. Immutable images. I feel deep love and loss. And I hear voices that won’t be silenced.

***

“Well, who the hell am I marrying?” He whips around, bending forward to get in my face. “Swayze? Morgan Daisy Gallagher?”
“Me.” My voice cracks as I blink back the tears.
“And who are you?”
“Swayze.”
The tension in his face eases a bit. “Are you sure?”
I push all the anxiety, all the fear, and all the confusion down into a dark hole I think is my soul. And I breathe in as much courage as I can muster, tipping my chin up. “Yes.”
He grabs my face and rests his forehead against mine. Without a confession, I feel his guilt. Without a single word, I feel his love. Let this be one more day where I’m granted the miracle of not losing Griffin.

“I’m sorry.

For What?

For waking the dead.

You didn’t wake the dead. You comforted the living”.

This duet has been one of my most highly anticipated reads and I’m not ashamed to admit that I was on cloud freaking 9 when I finally got to start it. Transcendence took me on a crazy ride without my permission and Epoch gave me the after effect of what happens when you surrender yourself without any protection.

I’m at a loss for words when it comes to this author’s writing style and if I’m being honest, I’m scared for her future releases. She’s doesn’t just suck you in and give you this out of this world experience every time you turn the pages. She holds you hostage and makes you BELIEVE everything that is written down meanwhile you’re trying you’re trying to figure out a way to jump inside of the pages so you can be a part of it physically.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

There’s no need for me to give you a play by play of this story because I won’t do that. Going into it blindly and experiencing the heartbreak and loss on your own, will be the best thing that I could ever do for you. Griffin, Swayze, and Nathaniel will leave your heart a shattering mess of emotions but you will enjoy it because these characters were exceptional. They loved hard, and fought harder and you couldn’t ask for anything more.

Did I wish certain things were different for some of them? Of course. But I think that everything that happened, was meant to be. They were supposed to go through the hurt and anger and betrayal in order to find their own happiness and have that once in a lifetime kind of love.

It’s almost been 24 hours since I finished Epoch and I’m still finding it hard to put it into words what’ve just read and experienced. Still in awe and I’m going to try to explain this state I’m in emotionally cause reading Transcend and afterwards Epoch was pulling out emotions I didn’t expect. Epoch was pretty spectacular. Out of this world.

I simply loved and adored Swayze, Griffin and Nate. That’s it. These characters had my heart and support in Transcend and I held on for dear life and cheered them on in Epoch with all I had. I was emotional invested in all three of them. They had embedded themselves in my heart. The situation they were in was unimaginable and so were the choices they all faced. Nate and Griffin are two men that love. Omg do they love. It’s intense and it’s everything. The same can be said about Swayze. She loves so fiercely and wants to do the right thing given her circumstances. They’re the most difficult choices of her life.

The roller coaster ride Jewel E. Ann took me on was indescribable. Tears, snot and a heart that hurt. That was pretty much how I felt throughout most of Epoch. It was excruciating at times but all worth it cause Jewel E. Ann owned me. With her brilliant and unique storyline and mesmerizing prose she owned me. I knew and anticipated that Ann would test me and she did. Her storytelling is brave and captivating. She ventures into topics I usually don’t give a second thought and turns it into magic. She had me spellbound. All I can say get ready to be blown away by Epoch. It’s so much more than EPIC.

Overall Opinion: Wow. This duet was definitely different! It has a pnr aspect (that I was expecting going in), and I actually appreciated its contribution in making this story so unique. I still think it could've probably been a good single book that is a little on the longer side, but fortunately I didn't mind it being a duet and it didn't feel as stretched out as I was dreading. I f-loved the epilogue and how I felt content in the end in that everyone got their HEA! I would recommend this to anyone looking for something different to mix up the same old storylines, but you definitely need to go in with an open mind! 😘

**Please don't read on if you haven't read the first book. I don't want to ruin the duet to anyone** Also please note that this is not my complete review format for that exact reason.

These books are impossible! You can’t choose a side because everyone’s opinion/feelings had merit. It proves what a great writer Ann is. You’re able to empathize with each player and hope that everyone gets a happy ending no matter how impossible that is.

I can easily say when it comes to Nate Hunt, Griffin will never trust him. And I don’t blame him. I also don’t blame Swayz getting caught up in this tangled web. Too many knots to untie. How can she just let that go?

What does Nate want from her? Even if she is Daisy reincarnated she’s still Swayze. Honestly I’m starting to think that Nate is the villain. At the very least he’s toxic to Swayze’s happiness. At least selfish. But I guess if you think you can have a second chance with someone you lost, wouldn’t you do anything to get them back? Gah! These books are impossible!

The least he deserves is a ransacked house.

Goddam it Nate! Does it have to be so black and white?

I think what they need to realize is that Nate and Swayze are destined to be the best of friends. If they could just get with the program that would be great. There’s so many kinds of love, it’s not always all encompassing.

Griff I have been in your corner since page one. But you keep telling her to not be insecure when you’re riddled with insecurities. I understand that the job is toxic but quitting won’t change anything, it may dull the problem but it won’t solve it. Why can’t you just trust her?

Seriously Griff? Apple? If Swayze doesn’t rip your balls off, I will.

I’m not gonna lie ... it would be easier if she just picked Nate. But I want her to be with Griff as much as she does. But how can she walk away? What a clusterfuck.

God love him, he even left her his family after he was gone. Goddam it!!!

Omg, he did it!

Aisle three ... could it be more perfect?

I needed him to walk her down the aisle. It was perfect closure.

“Tell me about your day, Swayze.” Every day till the end of time ... swoon.

I started this book last night figuring I would read a chapter or two and then go to bed. Welp, that didn’t happen. I ended up reading the entire book in one sitting. Yes, this book is just that good.

Epoch picks right up where Transcend ended. Remember that huge cliffy???? I wasn’t expecting the big reveal, but it definitely plays a big part in this book. Swayze is really struggling, the past and the future collide along with her relationship with both Griffin and Nate. My heart broke for all of them, yet I wanted to smack them in the head at one point or another. Swayze, Nate and Griffin all make decisions that I can’t decide if they were brave to do so, or just plain ridiculous.

I was a mess of anxiety and my heart was done by the last chapter. It ended the way I hoped it would and I couldn’t have been happier. The epilogue made me smile, just perfect.

As much as I loved this book, I did have a few niggles with it, but I do understand why the author went there, but I am not going to say what they are. Excellent writing and a story that will stay with me for a long time.

Chase happiness. Never settle. Fight for what you want, not what you think you deserve. Dream big … enough for two lifetimes.”

Book duets can be a risky business. Expectations are high when the first book is well received. Transcend was easily a 5-star read for me, so Epoch had huge shoes to fill. Jewel E. Ann makes it look easy because Epoch stole my breath time and again. I put my real life on pause while I indulged in every single absorbing page. Eating is so overrated anyway.

This mystery and atypical love triangle doesn’t lose any steam when picking up after the shocking cliffhanger in book 1. The tempo in this book allows the reader time to savor a deeper connection with Swayze, Griffin, and Nate, while also conveying a sense of urgency and foreboding.

Epoch is perhaps even more passionate, unpredictable and suspenseful than Transcend, which really blows the mind. Questions of reincarnation, destiny, and free will are woven throughout this epic love story. I have incredible affinity for all the characters, and the book has such thought-provoking complexity that I find myself still thinking about it more than 24 hours after finishing. It’s not often that I get choked up while reading, but this book gave my tear ducts a good workout. The ending is absolute perfection, and I’m sure it will give everyone feels upon satisfying feels.

Haunting and stirring, the Transcend Duet has already earned a spot on my 2018 Favorites list.

*I voluntarily read an early copy of this book. This does not affect my opinion or the content of this honest review.*

Just now finished the book, I'm powerless and helpless, my brain completely stripped of words.
So how am I supposed to go on with my life now? It's my moral duty to tell authors like Jewel that they make it impossible for me to move on with my reading. Extremely hard to just go pick another book and immerse myself, cause my brain, heart & soul have been still left behind in this Transcedental story
Pretty much like Swayze has left a piece of her soul behind in Daisy's life. She's stuck in a limbo like hell, left the past life, not quite landed in present now.
So Swayze's dilemma of where should she place herself, is thoroughly justified.which direction should she turn to?
To a past I can’t fully remember.
To a present with its claws curled into my heart.
To a future more terrifying than my worst nightmares.
To an unknown that could ruin my existence as I know it.

The story just blows your mind, there's interweaving emotions and overlaying sentiments. Swayze is being torn into two. Her Daisy soul is hiding inside Swayze body and her heart lives in perpetual turmoil. Her constant in life -Griffin (sexy, delicious, lickable, grocery store guy) is feeling the pressure and the distance
“I’m not going to watch you self-destruct. I’m not going to watch you fall in love with another man.”

Nate (sexy, delicious, lickable, her employer) is feeling the onus and the closeness.
All the characters are looking for closure!!
We can do this. We can uncover the past together. And when one of us breaks, the other one will know how to glue all the pieces back into place.
Nate from the guilt of not being there for Daisy
Griffin from not measuring up to the life good enough for Swayze to choose
Swayze for finding the real self.
It's a total scrambled eggs kind of a situation that fries your brain. I was on a constant roller coaster and I hate the darn rides !! The nausea and stomach churns destroy me and I felt exactly that having gone through Transcend/Epoch experience. I hope Jewel lends me her Dr. Albright!!
But HATS OFF to Jewel for penning such complex theories and convulated feelings and stuffing them in living, breathing humans that have hijacked our hearts. Several times in the story is the crucial and loaded question asked by Swayze. It carries varied significance in different stages of her confused mind .
Who am I?
What’s happening to my life?
Am I living in a parallel universe?

And when Griffin asks her "Who are you?", she's just speechless !

I have to mention that all throughout I kept picturing myself in Swayze's shoes. What would I do? Who would I choose? Will I succumb to the pull of fragmented memories or will I bury the voices in the ground and give Fate a middle finger? When push comes to shove, is the whole truth worth the fractured life left behind?
the old adage is still powerful- Curiosity DID kill the cat.
Jewel adds the next line -Satisfaction DOES bring it back !!
The more the story travels deep into Swayze's past, the more her emotions gets tangled. She can't let go of Griffin, she can't walk away from Nate & Morgan and yes her attachment to Morgan is a HUGE factor in her growing affinity towards Nate

Griffin is the man I love. My friend. My lover. My future husband. Yet, I can’t find the right way to explain the emotional connection I have to Nate and Morgan.
My heart broke many a times. I cried buckets, howling-at-the-moon crying, my-life-is-ending bawling !

“I think a part of you will be mine to love in every life.”

Be prepared to experience painful trauma, need to throw the kindle, curse like a MotherTrucker, guzzle bottles of wine, because this story will take your ALL !
It will squeeze your heart, choke your words and dry your tear ducts . It's "THAT" kinda story.
I have to specially mention the end here. I was afraid for just a moment, this could've gone the "Cookie-Cutter" way, with obvious choices, but Jewel again shines her brilliance with the "catalyst" , if I may. The Truth Shall Set You Free may or may not necessarily come true and WHO shall set you free is the most surprising part of the story.
A sixth star JUST FOR THAT!
I may have created SixStar box JUST FOR JEWEL . She maybe a sole occupant for a while, with maybe an author or two visiting the box every year. But I think Jewel should move in permanently. This is her BEST BOOK yet! . Yeah, where have I said THAT before?
Oh yes, to Her! With every book! And I've only read four!!
Pick this E-P-I-C journey into the E-P-O-C-H of Nate/Daisy/Swayze/Griffin quardrangle.

5 stars.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Mindblowing. I am at a loss for words.
Epic not Epoch is probably the right word choice here.
While book one of this duet was captivating and all about the story and characters for me, book two was more an angst filled drama with a little suspense thrown in to the mix.
Such amazing writing here, I could not put this book down and after a certain point in this story I just became so fearful for how it might end that I was probably reading it even faster .
Fortunately I was able to breathe a large sigh of relief at the end and not a lot of tears. This was still a very emotional and powerful read.
Such a different paranormal romance story involving reincarnation with a fascinating love-triangle.
I absolutely LOVED these 2 books.
I read them both as a KU but could not stop myself from purchasing both after I finished reading, as I will definitely be re- reading in the future.
This is the year of Jewel E. Ann. By my count she already has three "5 star" releases. Bravo.

Genre: Contemporary Romance
Type: Book 2 of 2 from Transcend Duet
POV: First Person - Multiple
Rating:

Since she first met Nathaniel (Nate) Hunt, Swayze Samuels' life was no longer hers alone. Trapped between memories of the past, her quest for answers risked ruining her own future. She must decide if the truth would be worth dying for.

Who am I? A ghost? An unfinished life? A fractured soul?

This book picked up right where book 1 left off with Swayze's life increasingly complicated by her desire for a closure. I certainly do not envy her position because she was between a rock and a hard place for whatever her move, she would not only hurt herself but also those she held dear.

"What if we’re destined or fated to find each other in every life?”

The other two characters didn't have it easy either. Their reactions to her situation were understandable and some moments were downright admirable. I love them and constantly hurt for them throughout the book

He can’t protect me. I’m not his to protect, but my body doesn’t know that as I cling to the familiar home of his embrace.

I knew coming into this book, it was going to be a rollercoaster ride, but it still didn't prepare me how much it would wring out my emotions. I felt invested on every single one of them and it was hard not to love them and understand their dilemma.

Epoch is the well developed conclusion of the engaging and unique premise of the Transcend duet. It would appeal to readers who favor emotionally charged romance.

ALL THE BEAUTIFUL STARS********

There are no words to describe the beauty inside the pages of both books in this duet. The angst, the love, the characters, everything about this story captivated me, consumed me.

I loved all the characters so much. Their story was so unique and well written. I highly recommend this duet to absolutely everyone.

5+ Stars
Transcend and Epoch deserve more than 5 stars. I'm giving them 10/5 because I want to and I will.

“So tell me about your day, Rabiya."

My day was good, I cried a lot, smiled and then cried again becauseJewel E. Ann ripped my heart apart only to put it back together.
I will forever remember this book. I'm the type of person who forgets the names of characters and story line very easily but some books leave a mark on your heart and stay there for a very long time and this duet by Jewel is going to stay in my heart and soul and lungs and blood for an eternity.

I can never ever do justice with these books but I want to let it all out because my heart can’t take it anymore even though i'm finding it difficult to find words to describe it.
I swear to God I was losing my mind because of anticipation and frustration. It consumed my mind and heart and i was even dreaming of Griffin and Nate in my dreams.

Whenever there are two guys in a book and the girl has to choose one of them I always and by always I mean 99% of the time I want her to choose the second guy but I was torn because Oh My Good Griffin and Nate were everything. They were perfect in every way.The last time I adored and loved a male character like this was a long time ago.

This duet was amazing, brilliant, nerve wracking, breathtaking, raw and beautiful. It deals with reincarnation and how fate brings Swayze in a position where she's on the verge of losing her mind.
Swayze is a twenty one year old girl with a speciality of seeing peoples' past but not everyone but just a few.
Griffin, her grocery store guy is absolutely goals, a perfect boyfriend who loves her with all of his heart. Well Nate also loves with all of his heart but….. Damn If i won’t stop now I'll spoil the entire book for everyone.
"I think a part of you will be mine to love in every life."

The second book in the duet was even better. It opened all the secrets of the past. But damn the journey was truly heartbreaking. My poor Swayze was dying and hanging in between these affectionate boys who loved her beyond words. Beyond words.
I love Griffin.
I love Nate.
I love Swayze.
I love Jewel E. Ann

I loved every word of it. It wrecked me in so many ways that i can't describe.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
You all have to read it. Don't read the spoilers because you won't understand a single thing. If you don't read it, then um bruh you're something Epoc... I mean Epic.

I LEGIT SOBBED WHILE READING THE LAST SIX CHAPTERS.

5 ★'s

“Thank you for finding me,” he whispers.

I'm thrilled that this is my first FIVE STAR READ of the year and it is well deserving. You've probably heard that the first book ends pretty dramatically, well, this one picks right up where that one left off.

Swayze now has a purpose, one she's not exactly thrilled about but very intent to see through. She has to make sense of these memories and push herself to remember more so she gets help.

The problem is that not everyone is on board with that especially Griffin. He puts her through the ringer a few times...and to be fair, she has put him through the ringer as well but hers are mostly unintentional. He finally issues an ultimatum...one I was really shocked about and just couldn't believe he would go through with.

description

Nate, on the other hand, is having a calmer approach. He is older after all but that doesn't always play in Swayze's favor especially when she is torn and needs him.

I was really floored by the resolution of one very big problem. I never expected that outcome...especially who did it but in hindsight, it made the most sense.

Because of that, Swayze's able to get a bit of a handle on those memories and make time to find herself. I LOVED the grocery store scene(s) and as things progressed, I was happy with how things were going. But...but my heart was torn for the other one. Ugh...I hate triangles particularly when both Heroes are so amazing. And Jewel E. Ann plays with us a little bit but how can you not love all that angst!

“This life looks beautiful on you.”

The ending was amazing and the surprise was priceless but that epilogue? Whoa...please tell me that Jewel E. Ann is going to write a book for Charlotte and Mathias? I think we all deserve it after reading this duet!

5 "We are timeless" stars

So, after a night of sleep, and waking up many times with this story on my brain, I "think" I'm ready to do this - and without spilers

Book 2 of the Transcend Duet is so deeply moving. I still have tears in my eyes when I think of how this all played out. Simply perfection. It ended exactly how it needed to. The writing was flawless. The characters were skillfully fleshed out and true to themselves. Oh Swayze, you poor funny, snarky, klutzy, unconfident soul. I can't even fathom what it had to have been like to live in your body and soul - or what it was like to have two incredible men love you so completely. Griffin - if there was ever a more perfect book boyfriend, I don't know who it could be. Everyone should have a Grocery Story Guy!!! And Nate...I will forever be Team Nate, and I don't care who knows it! Selfless, loving, kind, wise, broken...the true embodiment of the definition of grace.

This is so hard to do without spoilers, because I want to tell the world about it. I want to discuss this with people who have read it until I have no more words left. I want to tell everyone why they should read the whole duet. As I was sitting on the couch last night, finishing the story, tears running down my face, my husband asked me "why are you crying"? And all I could say was "You just won't get it". Because none of you will "get" this unless you read the series, and you really need to do so.

And I leave you with this quote (and I don't know if I remember it word for word, but I got the gist here) - which is what totally broke me beyond repair "You don't have to love me...in this lifetime".
